This is what you get seen from the pole of the sphere with this texture.

@Keith Baxter this will be real 3D. So text won't move in an up position for example, but it is curved to the surface. You will never be able to do that with canvas.

Hi,

You can use canvas to generate the material. So a material can be loaded from PNG/JPEG or generated using the canvas draw calls.

Will upload a new BETA today, there where some bugs in the canvas portion,

hi,

That is interesting. Will give AM5 beta a try over the weekend and see what magic I can come up with. See if we can create some warp zone stuff. :o

Hi,

About the png file for texture mapping which is in resources folder, it doesn't work with PNG 24 but it's OK with PNG 32. ( Color depth )

Thought this thread was AM compatibility with 2024. All this 3D stuff although interesting is totally un-related to that. Might be an idea to move it all to a more appropriately named thread.

No sure if anyone talked about this or not and I'm not reporting a bug as much as just letting others know.
I did a quick test with the beta release and the premium C172sp panel.
I found the gauges worked fine but interacting with knobs like heading or baro did not work with the sim. I could see my knobster turning them on the AM panel but not in game.
I know the smart people behind this program and the panels will get there for us so thank you for the work and I will be happy purchasing updates to support you guys.

Note that we're still busy testing everything with 2024.
From the premium panels only the G5 and EFD1000 have been converted.

I am seeing the same issue. AM panels appear to respond, but the sim and knobster do not.
