I've been enjoying AM 4x + Knobster + ESA C172 instruments with MSFS2020 for the last couple years. Zero performance problems. No plans for immediate migration to MSFS2024, sticking with 2020 for the foreseeable future.
Is there any reason to upgrade to AM5?
I scanned the SI page, SI Forums site, SI Discord and SI Wiki for a "new feature" list - I'm sure it exists somewhere - but I failed to lay eyes on it.
Related query... while I'm sticking with MSFS2020, I am migrating my sim to a new, faster computer. If it's possible, I would love to drive my two AM Touchscreens + Knobster from my old computer (on the same network as my new PC). The one caveat is I've always employed MSFS popouts for the GNS430/530. Can I still utilize popouts with the sim on one box and AM/Knob on the second box, or does use of popouts require AM + the sim to be on the same PC?
Does AM5 offer any new features that could address this?
Thanks in advance!
J.
Why Upgrade 4 to 5?
Re: Why Upgrade 4 to 5?
I'm trying to find the same info. MSFS 2020 user, will go to 2024 when it's really stable (eventually). Surprised this topic has been here a week without response, honestly.

All main features were explained in the newsletter. You do not have to upgrade.
