AM5.x Stable bugs

#1 Post by Keith Baxter »

Hi,

When a panel with video streams is run and then AM5 is closed. On opening AM5 again it will not open. Reports AM5 is already running.
Have to keep on opening task manager and closing "OpenJDK"
Looks like the video stream is not released on closing AM5 or the panel

This issue seems to affect other video streams when started, they do not start. AM5 has to be closed and the "OpenJDK" stopped. Only then will the video stream start.

I cannot reproduce that here. Is there maybe some sort of loop running in your script that prevents Air Manager from closing? I recommend checking it with for example just a G1000 in your panel.

Hi,

I will send you the panel. It is definitely a bug.
If the panel is run in "DEVELOPMENT" mode the OpenJDK closes.
If the panel is run in "HOME" mode the OpenJDK does not close.

Here is the memory that is not cleared.

Hi,

When a panel is run in "DEVELOPMENT" mode all the instruments run if the "ZOOM" is 1:1
ice_screenshot_20250319-123146.png
If the "ZOOM" is less that 1;1 you get this.

If the "ZOOM" is greater than 1:1 you get this.

Yes, we are aware of that. It's not really on our priority list right now. But it'll be fixed in one of the future versions.

Hi,

Downloading panels from the store has a issue. Instruments are not downloaded.

If I check if the instrument is in my directory ,I get this.

EDIT: I would assume there is a user properties that comes with this instrument. This two is not downloaded.

That's a premium panel, you need a license for that.

Hi,
Please fix this.
Every time there is a update and I have forgotten to end the OpenJDK task, I get a failed up date and I have to delete AM and reinstall.

Extremely annoying to have to continually shut down the OpenJDK every time.
