'Morning brother.
Looking amazing ! so nice to see it coming together.
Looks like some nice Hispapanels there ?
Have you made all the main grey panel background yourself ? - They look to be a slightly different shape to the hispa units ? (exterior shape and also cut out centre support for main displays ?)
Also, which MCP are you using ? the Honeywell or the Collins ?
First class.

Re: Keith 737 mip
Joe,
I bought this and It arrived about 15 months ago.
https://www.cockpitsimparts.co.uk/home/ ... frame.html
The box I built out of chipboard more that two years ago so it has been a slow start.
For the glare shield, The two EFIS also came with the MIP bit.
I will cnc the Collins MCP myself.
The FMC are 3D printed and I have printed the throttle quadrant and all the radio panels for the pedestal.
The first image is just after I started all the 3D printing. You can see the throttle and FMC
This one is just after the mip panels arrived. You can see the MCP. I am not happy with it. Looks out of place quality wise.

Re: Keith 737 mip
WOW !.. that is quality work.!
Are the bought instruments panels backlit where they should be ? - the price is absolutely excellent.
I love the FMC printing - what an amazing job for home 3d printing ! - they look to be CNC cut as opposed to 3d printed - the work is that good.
You have done an amazing job. Are they backlight engraved ? - if so, what CNC are you using ? - Seems like you must have a 3d printer and a CNC engraver ?
What about all the buttons / knobs etc ? did you print those yourself ?
Which MCP did you get ? . Is it the Hispapanels ? I have the hispapanels HONEYWELL MCP (and EFIS) . I can send some images of the parts if you like ? I think it is top quality, however, I have not seen the Collins. It certainly looks ok to me - however, I havent studied it in detail. one issue may well be the colour match. (if it is a HISPA MCP) but you can ask for a specific colour if you know what the other panels are. It is quite normal - unfortunately - for different suppliers to send slightly different shades of the supposed Boeing colour...
However, once you have it, you cant send it back really. Hispa do list all the colour variants and standard colour codes on their site.

Joe
Yes all backlit. and the knobs I printed.
Let me cut the cutouts so that I can install the switches and annunciators then I will test the back-lighting and post some images here.

Hi,
The DZUS printed frame worked out well.
Apparently I need to print some knobs and buttons.

Re: Keith 737 mip
Wonderful brother
Just a question if I may ?
Did you 3d print those yourself ? - it looks like you maybe did due to the layout of the design (although they ARE excellent quality !) or -
If they are the CSP panels ? did you order the centre console panel kit unpainted ?. Unpainted doesn't include the lettering ?. I believe some early design CSP panels were offered in both options and the actual designs changed. - as in -
https://www.cockpitsimparts.co.uk/29-bo ... 7-pedestal I think the CSP console kit is amazing value I must admit. only 199 quid complete ! .
It 'might' be worth considering as you have the MIP from them and all backlit capable - ready painted and fully etched for backlighting..

Re: Keith 737 mip
Joe,
This is the Zibo pedestal. It has different radios. The "Honeywell CTA-81A/D" for example as well as the communication panel. The VHF the Zibo uses is the gableseng "G7404-124". If fact all the radios are different. NAV is the G7500-03 , ADF is the G7402-04 , SECALis the G7165-01.
The standard LR 737 does not have SELCAL as it is built in to the communication panel. Also there is a video panel and a lot of other shuttle differences.
This is the Zibo pedestal.
All the panels will become opensource once I am happy with them. Both stl and svg files.to allow for cnc/lazier cutting and engraving.
This image is the Trim panel SVG WIP
