Hi there,
I built a G1000 using a 3D printer with the idea and STLs provided by 737diysim: https://www.737diysim.com/build-guides- ... n-g1000-v2
I spent months building the V1 version and learned a lot of stuff along the way, only to find out one day that there is a V2 which is much easier to build. So overnight I decided to drop V1 and make V2
There are some bouncing problems when turning the CRS-encoder, but I'll fix that either by programming an acceleration or by a debouncing circuit. LEDs and the 4-way switch are not connected yet, everything else works.
Programming is done with AM and an Arduino 2560 using X-Plane 11/12.
Pretty solid device, I might put this one day into a small homecockpit (jet fighter dimensions, but capable to drive a B58 without keyboard; two touchscreens for GTN750 and systems).
My G1000 project
Are you building a cockpit, planning to build one or just dreaming, this is your cockpit builder meeting point
