The USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter is causing a serious lag in my USB keyboard response. I have found no solution to that yet.

Also, the USB-C connector on my MB does not work with my 7" monitor.
There could be half a dozen reasons which may or may not be fixable.
Its a failed experiment as of now....
Try to see with my custom USBView 2.2, if your keyboard usb connection could be re located elsewhere than to the same root Hub as the USB C

Notice the Host Controller in the tree below, they should differ from the adapter and the USB C connection

Thank you for that.
I downloaded and installed the utility, but I don't know what I am looking at here...
Part of the problem is that I only have (3) USB 3 ports and (2) USB 2 ports on my MB. I can't use the two USB 2 ports on the front of the PC.
I need connections for (3) 7- port powered USB hubs, and of course the mouse and keyboard .
That leaves me with (0) 3.0 USB ports for the small monitor. I have to swap out the monitor with one of my USB hubs for testing purposes right now.

I did move the keyboard dongle from a 2.0 port to a 3.0 port and so far I am not seeing the keyboard lag while typing out this post.
My mouse was relocated to port 13 (USB 2) and my keyboard to port 4 (USB 3).....as shown by this utility.

EDIT: This utility shows that after connecting the USB-C cable to my MB connector it tells me that it does not support USB 3.0 protocol.

Hi Kirk @Kaellis991,

part of the issues solved 👍
the point is, connecting an USB 1.1/2.0 compliant only device like the keyboard, together with another USB 3.0 device on an USB 3.0 Hub, will automatically reduce the speed capability

the solution is to connect the USB C only on a hub where there's not other devices than ones with USB 3.0 compliance

To make a proper map of your main-board, you'll have to disconnect all single USB device and gave a look by selecting :
  • "Root Hub" entry on the left pane, then read on the right pane the USB 3.0 compliance which is "High speed: Yes"
  • "Generic USB Hub" entry on the left pane, then read on the right pane the USB 3.0 compliance which is "USB 3.0: Yes"
  • "Generic SuperSpeed USB Hub" entry on the left pane (if available), then read on the right pane the USB 3.0 compliance which is "USB 3.0: Yes"
Take these infos carefully and add them over the screenshot before the entry name in the left pane

Just like this :

Notice some are USB 1.1/2.0 only, so no USB 3.0 compliant :

and some other are USB 3.0 compliant :

And if I need 16 HDMI ports?
Do I need 4 computers and 4 AM licences?

Keith
Hello Keith @Keith Baxter
Just a point, how are you calculating how many monitors or hdmi etc you need ?
On a 737 NG you would need - on the MIP - 3 x LCD (1 hdmi etc each) upper for the 5 displays and 3 lower for the lower display and 2 fmc displays. That is it.
Don't forget that 1 lcd is used for both displays per side - meaning only 1 hdmi output drives - say - the pilot dual displays on the MIP - and 1 for the middle (often combined with the aux / standby instruments.)
I have a few spare if you need some ?

Cheers

Joe,

For the main display probably 3 LCD screens or taking over the family cinema room.
for the others..

1) 6 x for the DU's
2) 4 x for the chrono and i
3) 2 x for the CDU

Now if you want to be a little more pedantic ...
1) 1 X for the IRS
2) 1 X for the OH electrical display because the dot matrix fonts are not available for LED's
3) 1 x for the transponder.
4) 2 x for the EFB's

We can go on..

The point is , How can i get realistic.
Lets take the IRS.

I do not know of a display that could do this via AM "chr display add" The only way is via video which needs HDMI atm. For the Zibo 737

.
The other one is the OH electrical display. Yes it can be done with a few green LED's but the dot-matrix effect is not there. Using the video feature provides that realism from what the airframe is trying to do.

Using something like this to get realism. You get the dot-matrix feel.

There are many more if you have the spare change which I have not,

Anyway there may be other ways but those are the ones that make me comfortable to control.

Keith.

But...

If I could get to send the textures via TFT , That would be cool.

Hi Keith, it isn't 6 you need for the DU's, it is 4. Each 'dual DU per side - pilot - co-pilot are in fact 1 single lcd.
The chrono you are probably better getting mechanical units but that is a personal choice. Even with lcd they are cheap enough so no worries there.
You definitely do not need, and do not want - and can't get - individual DU lcd's.

Here's an example of my MIP. Please note the green area. This is a single 18.5 16:9 AR panel with PSU from a HP W1972a iirc. That does both DUs. That is what is normally used per side. On the right side of the image - which is the Pilot side - you can also see the mechanical chrono (a SISMO unit) mounted. You can clearly see the LCD panel which is for the dual DUs and the panel mounted to the back is the power supply and driver board.
there are loads of arduino compatible 3.5 / 4" displays that will work for the IRS etc, you can make any font you want, but you are into messageport of course.
